Michele Lanfranchi, who died in Messina: «A hoax». The gun in his hand, the body on the street: what doesn’t add up

The death of is a real mystery Michele Lanfranchi, the 19-year-old boy who lost his life late on Saturday evening in Messina: non-stop investigations into the death of the young man, whose body was found on the sidewalk in via Michelangelo Rizzo, in the Giostra district. The Flying Squad investigators are at work, coordinated by the deputy prosecutor Liliana Todaro, who are examining the testimonies collected so far.

How Michele Lanfranchi died

Some additional elements could come from the autopsy, ballistic tests on the weapon and other investigations.

From what emerged from yesterday’s testimonies, the young man would have been at the house of a friend to whom he was showing a gun that he had obtained a few days earlier. While he was handling the gun, the shot suddenly went off and hit him in the neck.

The young man, bleeding, was then taken to the street to wait for the ambulance but when it arrived it was too late. A dynamic of events that does not fully convince the investigators, also because the body was found on the pavement with the gun in his hand. It would almost seem like an ad hoc staging. The investigators are not ruling out any leads and want to further verify the various information.
