The Ferrari Challenge event in Balaton ended in the best possible way for CDP, which achieved two victories in Race 2.

A second sun-kissed day of racing on the Balaton circuit, characterized by tight challenges and twists that enlivened all the scheduled sessions. Gift Saturday ended with a podium in the Coppa Shellthe cars managed by the De Poi dealership in Perugia they put it up a notch. In fact, the Ferrari Challenge weekend in Balaton ended with a double victory in game 2 for CDP cars.

The first session of the day, qualifying 2, saw a lively Marco Zanasi at the wheel of his 296 Challenge #69 of the CDP – Pinetti Motorsport team. In the Trofeo Pirelli AM he managed to conquer the front row of the class, which he then managed to convert into victory in Game 2. A hard-fought victory especially in the second half of the race where he had to defend himself from many attacks from his pursuers. For Max Mugelli, qualifying 2 wasn’t exactly lucky, but he was able to make up for it with a great race. In twenty minutes + 1 lap, he managed to pass from eighth position to fourth, one step away from the first podium of the season.

Also in the Coppa Shell there is a great celebration for CDP, which conquers the top of the group after Race 2. Andreas Ritzi, at the wheel of the 296 Challenge #122, also performed well in qualifying, obtaining a third place just a few thousandths from the front row. After an excellent qualification, Andreas Ritzi gave everything in Race 2 conquering his first success in the Ferrari single-make series. A victory that clearly made him emotional, with the driver wanting to thank the entire team and his coach. Again in Race 2 of the Shell Cup Thomas Gostner confirms the performances demonstrated in Race 1, with the South Tyrolean driver coming within a few steps of repeating third place.

A weekend to remember for CDP, which still wants to improve in the next round of the Ferrari Challenge. After the Hungarian stage, the Ferrari Challenge moves to Spain on the Jerez circuit, with on-track activity taking place from 20 to 23 June.
