Thirteen thousand deliveries in Rome and over 3 thousand registered users in Italy. These are the numbers of the Shopopop platform, which arrived in Italy in 2023

Since 2023, the year of its entry into Italy, the Shopopop platform has made over 13 thousand deliveries in Rome with more than 3 thousand registered drivers and 5 thousand frequent routes. This is a new home delivery method which, to optimize resources and reduce waste, uses private individuals who deliver the shopping following their usual route, in exchange for a fee. The collaboration with some modern distribution brands has supported the growth of the platform which has allowed us to save more than 11 tons of Co2 with a service aimed both at supermarkets, but also at small local businesses, such as florists, pharmacies and parapharmacies .

In Rome we are growing quickly, with 51 partners and 18 frequent routes available for each delivery, we continue to expand in the capital and we hope to double this data by the end of the year. The growth of the service clearly demonstrates the positive development of the project, also from the point of view of reducing environmental impact” has explained Fabio Paracolli, country manager of Shopopop Italia.

Since its founding Shopopop has achieved 8 million total deliveries at European level. It boasts 4200 partner merchants in 6 countries: in addition to Italy, the platform is active in France, Belgium, Holland, Luxembourg and Spain.

CO2 savings

For each delivery made during a frequent route, collaborative drivers make an average detour of 2.27 km, which has a 3.5 times lower impact compared to the standard experience of the end customer who goes shopping at the supermarket.
