Did thirsty Favara give her little water to Agrigento?

For two days, Wednesday and Thursday last week, no water arrived in the Favara municipal tank for no apparent reason.

For the two days in question, no faults or other reasons were reported by Aica that would justify the cancellation of the supply to the city.

In total silence, Favara remained dry for 48 hours, adding further inconvenience to users who constantly see the number of days of waiting in the water distribution calendar increase.

It is said, the rumor is insistent and comes from well-informed circles, that for two days the water destined for Favara was diverted to Agrigento. We, for our part, hope that Aica denies the particular “hijacking” on Agrigento which would place the users of Favara in the losing position and in the “B” series compared to the “A” series of Agrigento.

Conversely, we would find ourselves in an unlikely situation in which Aica would adopt solutions to the advantage of some cities and to the detriment of others. In which the users who purchase water from private individuals will know that the little they are entitled to from the public service would have been allocated to others.

The public company that manages the service will have the opportunity to clarify and we, for our part, the pleasure and duty of publishing the real reasons for the lack of supply for two days to the city of Favara.
