Trenord is selecting new train conductors: from 12pm tomorrow, Tuesday 4 June, it will be possible to submit your application to join the team of staff responsible for the service on board the over 2200 journeys carried out every day in Lombardy, in seven provinces of the neighboring regions and on Malpensa Express airport connection. It will be possible to participate in the selection until 20 June 2024, according to the instructions that will be made available tomorrow on the “Work with us” page of the Trenord.it website.
The selection of train conductors
The train conductor guarantees compliance with the safety standards of each trip; for that race, he is the face that the company shows to travelers and is therefore in charge of organizing and managing communication and assistance. Candidates selected for this role will participate in the training course organized by the company, which will allow them to acquire the necessary skills. At the end of the course, which will last six months, the professionals will take theoretical and practical exams and carry out an internship period. These are necessary steps to obtain the qualification as a train conductor. To participate in the selection you must have a high school diploma or degree. A good command of the English language and, preferably, other foreign languages is required.
Candidates are required to be willing to travel to Lombardy and neighboring regions; hourly flexibility; excellent communication skills, problem solving attitude, precision, proactive attitude. Previous experience in roles in contact with the public will be positively evaluated.
