The curtain has fallen on the regional championship, now the national stage opens for Audaces Gorizia Basket. Over 40 training registered with the Uisp of Friuli Venezia Giulia, in fact, she won the category title which was up for grabs in the region for the first time, gaining access to the national finals scheduled in Rimini on the weekend of 14 and 16 June. The complete calendar will be known the week before. «A small reality but a great satisfaction» underlines the vice-president Giovanni Devetag, in the aftermath of the last challenge on the parquet.
The tournament in the far north-east ended in recent days, now they are waiting to find out who the challengers will be to try to win the cup. In any case, the team – which finds its home in the municipal gym of Mossa – can already celebrate given the excellent performance just two years after its birth. «Right from the start we were accompanied and supported by organizations that believed in and shared the spirit and initiative» remarks Devetag, also recalling the youngest team registered with Uisp A2.
«All this – underlines the manager – was possible thanks to the support of some local associations and realities, primarily to Admo and to its president Paola Rugo, with whom a collaboration has also been established in the social sphere with various events to support the collection of support for bone marrow donation. Last but not least, all those who have contributed to and followed the team and who will continue to do so in this last part of the year”, now hoping to bring many supporters away.

The boys who fight with the yellow and blue uniform they are: captain Andrea Pensabene, president Giulio Casella, Giovanni Devetag, Alan Graziadei, Cesare Coco, Guido Cerutti, Andrea Ambrosi, Emanuele Trevisani, Marco Luciano, Pierpaolo Bulfon, Joel Perez, Marko Milojevic and the two coaches Massimiliano Palli and Fabrizio Bolzicco. Now, on the shores of the Adriatic, teams from Emilia-Romagna, Lombardy and Tuscany are certainly expected.
