Viterbo – An area of ​​the city will be dedicated to Commendatore Alberto Ciorba

VITERBO – Last May 17, the municipal council approved the proposal to name the area adjacent to Porta del Carmine, up to the intersection with Via San Carlo and Via della Polveriera, after Commendatore Alberto Ciorba. will be renamed “Largo Commendatore Alberto Ciorba (1931-2012)”.

“Alberto Ciorba has carried out a commendable activity, dedicating himself with passion and love to the valorisation of the city, in particular the medieval district of Pianoscarano. We are proud to pay homage to him with this dedication, recognizing his tangible and qualifying contribution to Viterbo, because the valorization of our identity also passes through these acts”. The words of the mayor Chiara Frontini.

The well-known building contractor who came from the ranks, specialized in the restoration of ancient structures and has always shown great love for his neighborhood: Pianoscarano. Animator of sporting initiatives, president of the Building School for many years, founder and animator of the Friends of Monuments association, he has always done his best to do good in the city.

Now he deserves the right recognition.

Procedure which awaits the authorization of the prefect and the approval of the Superintendency of Archaeology, Fine Arts and Landscape for Southern Etruria. Once the formalities have been completed, the area will be officially renamed and marked with special plaques, at no additional cost to residents.
