For the Piacenza teams, double silver at the Provincial Tournament

Double silver for the Piacenza teams at the Provincial Tournament: both the Giovanissimi Under 14 and the Allievi Under 16 teams reached the decisive stage and then surrendered to the same age teams from Bologna. However, an excellent journey for the two teams coached by Alberti and Barbieri, who once again confirm the excellent movement of our province, capable of counting on quality kids.

The semi-finals will be played in San Pietro in Vincoli in the morning. In the Under 14s, Piacenza faced Rimini and overcame them with a penalty converted by Tolomeo in the 18th minute of the second half. In the other match Bologna beat Parma on penalties and qualified for the final.

In the Under 16s the red and whites beat Forlì Cesena with a 2-1 thanks to a brace from Guidone who decided the match in five minutes, at the 15th and 20th minute of the first half. Also in this case, the last match in front of Bologna capable of overcoming Ravenna 2-1 in a comeback.

In the challenge for the title, Piacenza’s Under 14s immediately put the match on their side thanks to a goal from Cammarata after just two minutes. But in the second half the Bolognese overturned the result with Peli’s equalizer and the final 2-1 goal in the 25th minute of the second half scored by Sansone, on a shot perhaps deflected by a red and white defender.

Nothing to do either for the Under 16s, who raised the white flag in front of Bologna: it ended 3-1 with a brace from Kulla, who scored in the 22nd minute of the first half and in the 8th minute of the second from a penalty, after the goal by Ungureanu who opened the ball in the 10th minute of the first half. Di Pizzi’s penalty in the 25th minute of the second half was the winning goal for Piacenza.

In a festive atmosphere, the Regional President Simone Alberici, the Deputy Vice President Giacomo Fantazzini and the Regional Councilors Franco Fancelli and Giuliano Gandolfi participated in the event for the Crer Figc Lnd. Present were the Provincial Delegates Michele Gallo (Bologna), Davide Zuccatelli (Ferrara), Johannes Donati (Ravenna), Daniele Lambertini (Forlì Cesena) and Sergio Franco (Rimini) as well as Andrea Volta of the Piacenza Delegation.
