Great public success for the 21st edition of CantAssori

Foggia. Great public success for the 21st edition of the CantAssori – Inclusive Song Festival, held at the Umberto Giordano theater in Foggia and hosted by the television journalist Francesco Molinaro and Maria Elena Mastrangelo, artistic director of the Kermesse. The inclusive singing event that involves the media, territory, citizens and local artists of national importance with and without disabilities has become a staple for many artists.

Over the course of its history, CantAssori boasts twinnings with other important festivals such as Cantagiro and Il Vinile d’Argento, and was born twenty-one years ago as part of the inclusive artistic events promoted by ASSORI ETS, an association active for over 40 years in the Foggia area, which pursues the aim of promoting health and spreading the culture of social inclusion of people with disabilities. The festival is supported by the presence of numerous testimonials, such as Pio and Amedeo, Ottavio De Stefano, Luca Capuano, Lorenzo Zecchino, Mary J Button, Virginia Barrett, Ripalta Bufo, Santino Caravella, Luciano Natale, Musicomio, Federico Paciotti of Gazzosa, Diego Dalla Palma, Vladimir Luxuria and many other artists sensitive to the issue of social inclusion.

The first place winners of the Cantassori, session of unreleased songs and session of performers, were awarded the “Shirafin: my voice for inclusion” scholarshipsparticipation in the national phases of the Cantagiro, a cycle of individual singing lessons and three months of laboratory activities at the renowned “Melody Music School” Academy in Rome. The “Riccardo Maiorana” scholarship was also made available to the performer who made the best artistic impression, to encourage the development of talents. Festival also appreciated for the inclusive performances created by artists with and without disabilities who concretely convey the inclusive message that characterizes Assori’s mission.

The entire event will soon be broadcast on Antenna Sud and this year too saw Vladimir Luxuria as exceptional sponsor always involved in social work, who declared herself to be a great supporter of the competition, during which among the guests of the evening she took to the stage of the Jordan the dancer Ivan Cottini, suffering from multiple sclerosis, who literally thrilled the audience with his performance to the tune of a song by the singer Irama.
