The scheme was tried and tested: they advertised the “goods” on WhatsApp by making appointments with the “customers” near a house in an isolated and quiet area.

Thus the agents of the Colombo police station arrested two Italians aged 21 and 44 for possession for the purpose of dealing drugs.

According to a press release issued today, Sunday 2 June, by the Rome Police Headquarters, the anti-drug raid began during a targeted observation service in via Pietro Vannucci in Pichini, a residential neighborhood on the outskirts of Guidonia Montecelio.

After observing some supplies of narcotic substances, the investigators saw a man who, after leaving the house, started driving his car and then approached another vehicle and began conversing with the other driver.

Upon seeing the officers, the two attempted to escape but were stopped and found in total possession of over a kilo of marijuana, 200 grams of hashish and 2,470 euros in cash.

The investigators then extended the search to the apartment in via Vannucci, where they found another 2 and a half kilos of marijuana, 600 grams of hashish, 200 euros and various material for weighing and packaging drugs.

At that point, the police carried out checks at the respective homes of the two where they found a total of 123 grams of hashish and 10 of marijuana.

For these reasons, the two Italians were arrested and associated at the Regina Coeli prison.
