This morning, on the occasion of the 78th anniversary of the proclamation of the Republic, the Flag Raising Ceremony was held at the War Memorial, followed by the blessing and laying of the Laurel Wreath, and the reading of the message from the President of Republic by the Prefect of Reggio Calabria, Dr. Clara Vaccaro, who finally addressed a greeting to the authorities and citizens who attended.
Furthermore, the honors of the Order of Merit of the Italian Republic and the Medals of Honor were awarded for Italian citizens deported to Nazi concentration camps and labor camps in the Second World War.
