Concert in Sona
At 9pm this evening, 2 June, at the Villa Trevisani Park (Via Roma, Sona), the Sona Band will cheer up those present with the concert “The Story of Don Domenico Mercante during the Second World War”. The music is dedicated to the story of Don Domenico Mercante, a religious man from Verona taken hostage and barbarically murdered together with the soldier who refused to become his executioner, during the Second World War. An exemplary story, also remembered by Pope Francis, as testimony that “violence and death are defeated by love and the gift of self”.
Band parade in San Martino Buon Albergo
On the occasion of Republic Day, the parade of the symphonic band took place in San Martino Buon Albergo, followed by the Holy Mass and celebrations in front of the municipal headquarters.
