Catania, two drug dealers ‘at work’ arrested in Librino: 170 g of cocaine seized

In Catania the carabinieri of the Fontanarossa company arrested two men for possession for the purpose of dealing drugs.

The arrests were made along Viale Bummacaro. Here, near a car park in front of a house, the military suspected that a drug dealing place had been set up.

They therefore organized a control service and stakeouts. The Carabinieri observed a young man who, having left a house on the ground floor and got on a scooter, had then walked away with equal speed. Other soldiers of the force blocked the Honda Sh scooter on which a 29-year-old from Catania was travelling.

Proceeding with his personal search, the soldiers found, hidden in his jacket, two plastic bags, vacuum sealed, containing cocaine, one weighing 52.85 grams and the other weighing 39.40 grams, with a value on the retail market of around 8,000 euros, as well as a perfectly functioning precision balance. Subsequently the carabinieri went into action in the building where the house from which the 29-year-old apparently emerged was located, taking advantage of the moment in which they saw another person exit.

The pusher, stopped and identified as a 37-year-old, was searched and found with 3 vacuum-packed wrappers containing cocaine weighing 28.75 grams, 52.20 grams and 2.09 grams, with a retail value of approximately 7,500 euros. The man then took from the house and handed over to the Carabinieri 3 precision scales, all working, a vacuum machine as well as 5 bullets of various calibers. The two ended up under house arrest.
