Avezzano: the curtain rises on the Green Night

The center of Avezzano is ready to shine again with music and traveling shows with Notte Green. Saturday 1 June, the associations of Category Cna, Confcommercio, Confesercenti, Confartigianato they met again to embrace the initiative of the Municipality of Avezzano on the occasion of the first edition of Environment FestivalLet’s settle in.

“First of all, it will be an evening dedicated to sustainability – said the Environment Councilor, Antonietta Dominici – In the restaurants that have joined the initiative, the main courses will be served with 0 km products and the producers themselves will be present to explain the characteristics of the courses. An initiative dedicated to the environment certainly does not allow excessive consumption of plastic. For this reason, in agreement with the various traders, we have decided to use only biodegradable products for the evening – he concludes – Grateful for this collaboration with the venues and commercial activities, we are ready to experience this beautiful event in the central area

A new magical event will therefore return to enliven the center of the capital of Marsica with a program full of events: the Green Night will begin at 8pm, with exciting shows by the artists of the Green Circus which will brighten up the streets of the city.

At sunset, the representatives of the administration will inaugurate the evening by lighting the large illuminated sign “Ambientiamoci” positioned in front of the symbolic plant of the evening in Piazza Risorgimento. The ignition will take place in a very particular way: in fact an exercise bike transformed into a real power generator will be used. This is a vehicle created by Dr. Manuele Pregnolato on behalf of the Porto Garibaldi comprehensive institute in the province of Ferrara and it will be the teacher of the Romagna school, Nadia Finessi together with the manufacturer, who will bring the exercise bike to the city and take care of its installation.

Let’s start the music with local musical groups as protagonists: Francesca Bontempi Live, The boys of the Adriano Celantano Tribute Band, The Stradella band, Trio Stefano, Gianluca and Giancarlo, Spoonfool, Gli Amici di Carlotta e friends, Maxwell Pies, Argan and the Gaffers, Nandi Salustri and Vittoriano Montaglini. Furthermore, along the route, there will also be some DJ sets, a characteristic chic Karaoke evening and a 90s party in Piazza del Mercato.

The entire event will take place in a pedestrian area closed to car traffic.

Therefore, with Managerial Order No. Reg 122 of 05/29/2024, it is established that from 5.30 pm on SATURDAY 1 JUNE 2024 at 01.30 am of the following day Sunday 2 June, the DO NOT STOP with removal of the vehicles and the NO PASSING, in the city center area consisting of the following road sections:

  • Via Cataldi, from the intersection with Via N.Sauro to the intersection with Via Corradini;
  • Via Vittorio Veneto, from the intersection with via Amendola to the intersection with via Corradini (traffic ban only);
  • Via Corradini, from the intersection with Via Monte Grappa to the intersection with Corso della Libertà;
  • Via Corradini, from the intersection with Via Trieste to the intersection with Via Trento;
  • Garibaldi Street, from the intersection with Via Mons. Valeri to the intersection with Via Monte San Michele;
  • Via Emilia, from the intersection with Via Vittorio Veneto to the intersection with Via Garibaldi;
  • Via Bagnoli, from the intersection with Via Vittorio Veneto to the intersection with Via Monte Grappa;
  • Course of Freedom, from the intersection with via Corradini to the intersection with via Bagnoli;
  • Via Trieste, from the intersection with Via Diaz to the intersection with Via Corradini;
  • Via Marconi from the intersection with Via Corradini to the exit of the former INAIL public car park;
  • Via Fontana from the entrance to the former INAIL car park at the intersection with Via Marconi;
  • Via Trento from via diaz to via corradini;
  • Via Monte Grappataken from Via Mons. Bagnoli to Via Mons. Valeri.

Furthermore, from 6.30 pm on SATURDAY 1 JUNE 2024 to 01.30 am of the following day Sunday 2 June, the establishment of NO PASSING in the following sections of roads, which access the streets occupied by the event:

  • Via Monte Zebiotaken from Via Veneto to Via Cataldi;
  • Via V. Venetotaken from Via Corradini to Via Mons. Valeri.
