The celebration of the 78th anniversary of the proclamation of the Italian Republic falls on Sunday. This morning, at 10 am, at the War Memorial in Piazza IV Novembre, the commemorative ceremony is scheduled in the presence of the civil, military and religious authorities, as well as a representation of students with the standard bearer of the banner of the Regional School Office for the Marche and the banners of the Combatant and Weapons Associations.
The celebration, like every year, will begin with the entrance of the Prefect who, accompanied by the Commander of the Schools of the Navy of Ancona, will review the deployed departments. Subsequently, to the tune of the Mameli Hymn, the flag raising and the laying of a laurel wreath will be held at the War Memorial.
The ceremony will continue with the reading of the traditional message from the President of the Republic, Vincenzo Mattarella. and with the contribution of students from the ‘Savoia-Benincasa’, ‘Vanvitelli Stracca Angelini’ and ‘Galilei’ schools who will read some passages inspired by the theme of the Republic and the principles guarded by our Constitution.
Then, inside the War Memorial, the evocative display of the tricolor will take place by the Ancona Fire Brigade Command.
The ceremony will end with the presentation by the Prefect of the certificates of the ‘Honours of Merit of the Italian Republic’ awarded by the President of the Republic. There will be 18 honors awarded in a solemn manner today.
Among the winners there are well-known names in the healthcare sector of Ancona and the Marche, from professors Gorrieri and D’Errico (former dean of the faculty of medicine and surgery of Torrette) to surgeon Di Benedetto and doctor Bozzi, child neuropsychomotor therapist. Many firefighters, starting with the director of the provincial command of Ancona Patrizietti, and then carabinieri, navy and army officers, entrepreneurs.
