Dead cyclist worked in the Region, Marsilio’s condolences – News

(see ‘Cyclist hit in Giulianova, one dies…’ of 2.03pm) Monica Tassoni is the cyclist victim of the road accident which occurred at 1pm in the underpass of via Gabriele D’Annunzio, in Giulianova: the 56-year-old from Giulianova, wife of former basketball player Orazio Pedicone, worked in the Pescara offices of the Labor and Social Department of the Abruzzo Region. And the governor Marco Marsilio himself wanted to pay homage to her with a message of remembrance and condolence. “Today the Abruzzo Region lost a valid employee in a tragic road accident in Giulianova. On behalf of myself and the entire regional council I offer my condolences to Monica Tassoni’s family at this painful moment”.

After the tragic news, the Municipality of Giulianova also wrote. “Mayor Jwan Costantini and the municipal administration, feeling that they represent the sentiment of the entire city today, express their sorrow for the dramatic and sudden death of Monica Tassoni, victim of a road accident in via D’Annunzio. To the family they extend their I send my deepest condolences to his loved ones in the hope that the affection and closeness of the Giulia community can be of support in these hours of unspeakable despair.”

But there are hundreds of messages his family is receiving. Among these, that of the mayor of Campli Federico Agostinelli. “Our city is very tied to Orazio, who played for a long time in Campli and was able to represent our history like few others. We have beautiful memories of his adventure here and the entire community embraces him and his two with great affection children”.
