The triumphs of Trento and Piedmont at ‘Ragazze in Gioco’ and ‘Tutti in Goal’. Tisci: “An educational success”

The teams that represented – respectively – the ‘Valle di Ledro’ Comprehensive Institute of the homonymous municipality of Ledro, in the province of Trento, and the ‘Ferrari’ Comprehensive Institute of Vercelli.



It was therefore Trento and Piedmont that triumphed in the two educational-sports events promoted by the Youth and School Sector; two events – one all-female like ‘Girls in the Game‘ and the other, ‘Everyone in Goal‘, mixed, which requires the presence of at least two players on the pitch – who fit inside ‘Values ​​on the Net’, the project in collaboration with the Ministry of Education and Merit to promote school sports activities. A journey that lasted a season, which passed through the previous institute, provincial and regional phases, and which finally concluded this afternoon in an exceptional setting for Italian futsal such as the Salsomaggiore Terme sports hall. Because the two five-a-side football tournaments have seen 38 teams representing 33 lower secondary schools and 19 regions of Italy compete in the last three days, in this last national final phase, with almost 500 people in total coming from every part of our country.



“It was a real educational success for the promotional activity of the FIGC, in particular for the women’s movement and for five-a-side football which is the basis of the sports programme” underlined the president of the Youth and School Sector, Vito Tisci, who then continued: “Our sincere thanks go to the Municipality of Salsomaggiore Terme, which once again hosted us with great enthusiasm”.

After the group stage and the first direct elimination matches which were played on Thursday and Friday on the ‘Clemente Francani’ pitch, also in Salsomaggiore Terme, the ‘finals’ for third place took place this morning at the sports hall. This afternoon, again at the sports hall, the finals to decide the champion teams. In the stands, while the teams competed on the parquet to obtain the champion title, all the other girls and boys who took part in this event. Incessant cheering accompanied the triumph before Trento, who beat Abruzzo 10-2 in the final of ‘Gioco in Gioco’, and then Piedmont, who had the win in a heart-pounding final of ‘Tutti in Goal’ better by 6-5 over Sardinia.



“We are very happy to have also hosted this edition of the national finals of ‘Girls in play’ and ‘Tutti in Goal’ and we hope that there will be others in the future” highlighted the mayor of Salsomaggiore Terme, Luca Musile Tanzi, returning the thanks by Vito Tisci.

“It is nice – underlined the vice president of the Five-a-side Football Division, Antonio Scocca – to meet again at the end of the season, on these occasions which attract many girls and boys and which underline the great desire for sport that we need. Together with the Youth and School Sector we work to implement the offer even further in schools”.
