Rome, 1 June. (Adnkronos) – On the occasion of the 78th Anniversary of the proclamation of the Republic, the main façade of Palazzo Chigi will be illuminated with the Italian tricolour, from 00:01 to dawn and from dusk to 23:59 on Sunday 2 June. Furthermore, again tomorrow, a performance by the musical bands of the Armed Forces and the Police Force will be held in Piazza Colonna, starting from 2.30 pm and ending at 6.30 pm. The musical bands will perform in order: of the Local Police of Rome Capital, of the National Fire Brigade, of the Military Corps of the Italian Red Cross, of the Penitentiary Police, of the State Police, of the Guardia di Finanza, of the Arm of the Carabinieri, the Air Force, the Navy and the Tramat Band of the Italian Army.

On the programme, among others, pieces by: Vessella, Luthold, Sousa, Piccioni, Pellegrino, Francia, Puccini, Morricone, Piovani, D’Alberti, Rosi, Battaglia, Fucik, De Haan, Elia, Di Zenzo, Ellington, Wonder, Rota, Cirenei, Verdi, Cardillo-Cordiferro, Paolini/Pisano/Silvestri, Orsomando, Walter, Rossini, Van der Roost, Trovajoli/Rascel, Modugno, Bender, Teike and Guida, Europe, Offenbach. It will begin and end with the Italian National Anthem by Mameli and Novaro. Visits to Palazzo Chigi, upon reservation, will take place tomorrow starting from 12.30 pm and until 7 pm with last access at 6.30 pm.
