The free sea of Naples begins at “mappatella beach”, at the Rotonda Diaz. An initiative by Green Europe was held today, 1 June, to raise awareness among bathers, citizens and tourists, of the value of defending greenery and the right to blue, to free access to the monster sea. The campaign began in the sandy area of the rotunda because «the “mappatella beach”, – explained Francesco Emilio Borrelli, deputy of the Green-Left Alliance – in addition to being one of the few public beaches in the city still accessible to all, is the symbol of the our battles, for years we have “adopted” it, defending it from scoundrels, abusive people, uncivilized people and negligence”.
