The Marche region celebrates national sports day

It returns on the first Sunday of June National Sports Day (GNS), established by the Presidency of the Council of Ministers to celebrate that great and traversal phenomenon, a harbinger of healthy values, which is sport. The GNS will take place simultaneously throughout the national territory, as usual, and this year in conjunction with the Italian Republic Day.

A great anniversary dedicated to those who love and practice sport with many disciplines involved: under the direction of CONI, in coordination with the sports bodies and affiliated sports associations and together with local authorities, the territories take action in initiatives, events and events aimed at enhancing the function of sports practice, as a fundamental factor of growth and enrichment of the individual, of improvement of the quality of life and of empowerment and strengthening of civil society. “Even in our region, the National Sports Day confirms itself as a highly anticipated and eagerly awaited event – points out Fabio Luna, President of CONI Marche – In addition to being an event followed by all enthusiasts, especially the younger ones who will go to the streets to try new disciplines while having fun, the GNS is an initiative that involves various municipalities and sports federations in our area every year. My heartfelt thanks go to them.”

Numerous municipalities in the Marche region have joined, including Ancona, Camerino and Civitanova Marche. Corridonia, Esanatoglia, Fabriano, Fossombrone, Jesi, Macerata, Montecassiano di Macerata, Pesaro, San Benedetto del Tronto, Senigallia, Tolentino. Some will start the celebrations early today, such as Ancona and Fabriano. All the others will celebrate Sports Day on its official date, namely Sunday 2 June 2024.
