PAVIA – Even today, Saturday 1 June, the day in Pavia is characterized by high profile political meetings and cultural events, in view of the upcoming municipal elections on 8 and 9 June.
Health and Research at the Center of Attention
The day begins with an important meeting dedicated to health and scientific research, entitled “Pavia at the center of health and scientific research: the sustainability of a model for development and growth”. The event will be held at 9.30 am in the Sala dell’Annunciata in Piazza Petrarca, 3. Among the speakers stand out prominent figures in the medical field and healthcare management:
- Daniele Bosone, Medical Manager of Healthcare
- Luca Damiani, President of the Maugeri Scientific Clinical Institutes
- Cristina Domimagni, President of the Asp Steering Committee
- Sandro Rossi, General Director of the CNAO Foundation
- Alessandro Venturi, President of the IRCCS Policlinico San Matteo Foundation
The meeting will be opened by institutional greetings from the President of the Lombardy Region, Attilio Fontanaand of the President of the Province of Pavia, Giovanni Palli. At 11:00, in the Allea of Viale Matteotti, the candidate for mayor Michele Lissia will hold a public meeting entitled “Excellence in healthcare: where has it gone?”. This event will be an opportunity to discuss current public health issues and strategies to improve health services in Pavia.
Cisco’s music to support Michele Lissia
The day will culminate with a very popular musical event: the free concert by Cisco, former voice of the Modena City Ramblerswho will perform in Pavia as part of the “Tour 2024 – Thirty years later”. The event, scheduled for 9.00 pm in Piazza del Carmine, is organized by the electoral committee in support of Michele Lissia, candidate for mayor. Cisco, known for his social commitment and his songs that tell stories of life and struggle, will bring his most famous songs to the stage, including those from the album “Riportando tutto a casa”. The concert not only represents a moment of leisure and culture for citizens, but also an opportunity to support Lissia in her electoral race.
