Messina – The final of the Italian Serie A Beach Soccer Cup will be played in Messina. From 27 to 30 June in the Arena Beach Stadium on Capo Peloro beach in Punta Faro. The event was presented at Palazzo Zanca last Wednesday by the mayor of Messina Federico Basile, the president of the Sicilian FIGC Sandro Morgana, the sports councilor Massimo Finocchiaro, the head of the Beach Soccer department Fabio Nicosia and the member of the national consultancy for the region Sicilian Giuseppe Bosco. An event of great importance, the best Italian Beach Soccer teams such as Viareggio, Naples Pisa, Catania and then Milan, Vasto, Lamezia Terme, Bologna, Udine, Rome, Chiavari, Genoa and San Benedetto del Tronto will participate. The Arena Beach Stadium in Capo Peloro covers an area of 5000 m2 with 1200 seats. There will be a direct elimination formula, the winners will move forward while the losers will compete but in matches to establish the final placement. The matches will be broadcast on Dazn. In addition to the tournament, the City of Messina is preparing to host a real event, in the sense that there will not only be the sporting event but many other activities that will take place inside the Beach Soccer Village from 20 to 30 June. Shows, street food, live music concerts, entertainment for children and much more. Mayor Basile spoke of “a very important sporting event that the City of Messina is preparing to host”. It was then the turn of councilor Finocchiaro, who declared that “the event will open in the best possible way the upcoming summer season full of events scheduled in Messina”. Finally, President Morgana “We are particularly happy as a Regional Committee to organize and give life to the first sporting and entertainment event of this type which represents a truly great novelty for the Sicilian summer”.
