Aversa (Caserta) – Speaking at a meeting with the mayoral candidates organized by the “Place” project at the “Sagliano” retirement home, the mayoral candidate Franco Matacena answered the students’ questions on the topic of transformations of the educational community through active participation and innovative approaches. It was an opportunity to illustrate one’s vision, particularly on education and the connections with the interventions to be carried out in the urban suburbs.

“I am convinced – explained Matacena – that it is a priority for the municipal administration to pay attention to the areas where there are greater difficulties, particularly with regards to educational problems. In these days of the election campaign I had the opportunity to meet several Aversa families who live in the suburbs and who asked me about their particularly difficult situations and are awaiting interventions from the public administration, I replied that it is the Municipality’s duty to be close to citizens who live in difficult situations and create situations of dignity and social security with active policies, in particular by accompanying young people who live in precarious contexts on their journey”.

The candidate of the civic coalition then illustrated some operational lines: “To achieve this we must communicate well with the world of schools and with all the institutions present in the area that deal with training and also know how to network with third sector bodies. There are some areas of the city of Aversa that are experiencing enormous difficulties, in which we will intervene immediately to ensure a better future for all our young people, ensuring that the school structures belonging to the municipality are welcoming and have suitable spaces for teaching, which where necessary they are strengthened. At the same time, we want to educate every student in the values of legality and active citizenship, promoting educational synergies that give young people the awareness of living in a place that deserves to be respected, with positive examples that prevent situations of degradation”.

“These objectives – concluded Matacena – can be achieved by implementing valid projects, also drawing on the great opportunity represented by the Pnrr, which we will try to present and implement immediately”.
