Venice, Mattarella participates in the “Ugo La Malfa Award” presentation

The president of the Republic Sergio Mattarella he arrived at Venice to participate in the delivery ceremony of Ugo La Malfa Award for International Cooperation. The award, this year in its first edition, was established on the initiative of the Ugo La Malfa Foundation, the Ca’ Foscari University of Venice and the Treccani Encyclopedia, in collaboration with Intesa Sanpaolo and with the contribution of the Teatro Stabile del Veneto Foundation – National Theatre, as part of a framework agreement between the Foundation, the University and Intesa Sanpaolo which will be signed in Milan on 3 May.

The agreement is aimed at carrying out a series of initiatives for the training of young people and the development of research in the fields of international cooperation and European integration, in the name and memory of Ugo La Malfa, who conducted his university studies and developed his political orientation in Venice. The Ugo La Malfa Prize, not in money, will be awarded to personalities of institutions or cultureItalian or foreign, who contribute with their work or their writings to defending and promoting the development of international cooperation.

The 2024 prize will be awarded to the managing director of the International Monetary Fund, Kristalina Georgievawho will give an acceptance speech preceded by a laudatio from the Honorary Governor of the Bank of Italy, Ignazio Visco.
