Palazzo Aymonino, not received. All empty and barred. The 34 apartments of the Erap in via Mazza are apparently ready (costing 3 million) but the construction site is not yet finished nor are there any tests. So, you can’t enter. Saturnino Di Ruscio, Erap regional president, called on the phone yesterday and said: “I know that the company has left but now I’ll find out”. An hour later he called back: “Yes, the apartments are ready but the home automation needs to be connected to the solar panels. They tell me that in two months everything will be ready. I thought everything was already finished but instead something is missing. We had a first company which went away, a second one and now part of the plant is missing. They tell me two months, we’ll see. Already.

But Erap insists on via Mazza and has put out a tender for the construction of another 3 apartments in the garden of Palazzo Aymonino for a starting bid of 951,228.15 euros. There was also an award to a company. Andrea Biancani, who followed the main contract as a regional councillor, says: “I am astounded by the delays in that construction site. It is not moving forward and this also causes serious damage to the Municipality of Pesaro. Apartments in the Municipality must be renovated by relocating the people who live there in the new accommodation in via Mazza, but everything is blocked due to the inexplicable delays of the Erap construction site”.

The regional councilor Nicola Baiocchi, in May 2023, had reassured with a note on behalf of the Region: “Work for the recovery of Palazzo Aymonino in the central Via Mazza in Pesaro has finally resumed. The Pesaro and Urbino garrison of the Erap Marche and the successful company have signed the agreement to restart the renovation work on the building which has been blocked for some time due to technical and economic disagreements. The works will start again next week to be completed, according to the timetable, by September million euros of state and Erap Marche funds to help provide a housing solution to 34 Pesaro families, redeveloping a large and prestigious property located in the city center the social profile and the urban redevelopment, carried out in close synergy between the Municipality and the Region, thanks to its dependent body Erap Marche. But there’s more. Because, thanks to this intervention, the external spaces surrounding the building, intended for predominantly public use, will also be returned to the city of Pesaro and redeveloped. The intervention is fully in line with the regional directives on housing policies”.

Saturnino di Ruscio, the president of Erap wrote in January 2023: “On via Mazza, the apartments are not yet completely completed. The contracting company has significantly slowed down its work, so much so as to force Erap to evaluate the possibility of contractual termination For the completion of the works, the need to carry out extra-contractual works concerning the systems, additional but closely linked to the planned works, has also emerged. A contract for which work is underway for an estimated amount of 85 thousand euros about”. We are still stuck at that, after a year and a half.
