Sharp slowdown in inflation in Viterbo

Decisive setback for inflation in Tuscia. The price increase went from +8% in 2023 compared to 2022, to +0.4 in the last twelve months.

The investigation by the CGIA of Mestre

The Viterbo area is placed in 55th place, out of a total of 78 provinces surveyed, in the price increases ranking drawn up by the CGIA research office in Mestre on the basis of Istat data. In Lazio, Frosinone, Latina and Rieti are missing, while Rome is in 37th place.

The provinces most affected by inflation

The Italian provinces most affected by high prices in the last year were Siena, Brindisi and Venice, which recorded an increase in inflation of 1.9 percent. Followed by Benevento with +1.8 percent, Naples with 1.7 percent, Rimini, Parma and Trieste with 1.6 percent.

Spending increases

“They are almost all local areas with a great tourist vocation (unlike Viterbo and Tuscia, despite the progress made in recent years, ed.) which have undergone significant increases in spending on activities attributable to accommodation, catering and personal services . A marked increase in costs also affected transport, house/shop rentals and shopping trolleys”, we read in the CGIA investigation.

Sharp slowdown in inflation in Viterbo

Compared to the almost double-digit increases of the previous year, inflation has seen a strong cooling everywhere in the last twelve months. “Although the growth of inflation is slowing down – highlights the research office of the association of small and medium-sized businesses in Veneto – the perception of Italian consumers is that the prices of goods and services are instead rising. In reality, some expenditure items that have a significant impact on the family budget have undergone significant contractions.”
