The Court of Castrovillari, accepting the requests made by the Prosecutor and the civil party panel made up of lawyers Ettore Zagarese, Nicoletta Bauleo and Umberto Tarantinosentenced the forty-two-year-old from Corigliano DVA to 3 years and 6 months of imprisonment and compensation for damages in favor of the 39-year-old civil party BE, who had formed herself and as a parent exercising authority over her minor daughters, for whom the Judge again rejected the request for release, thus confirming the precautionary measure in prison.
In June 2022, DVA had already been the recipient of the precautionary measure of the ban on approaching his ex-partner and cohabitant, mother of their two children, for the crime of domestic abuse issued by the Court of Castrovillari at the request of the Public Prosecutor’s Office.
The man, however, had never resigned himself to the separation and thirteen months later he had also implemented a destructive and criminal plan. Arsonist. In fact, he entered the home of the ex and their children he had set it on fire making it uninhabitable. It all happened in the month of July 2023 in the Giannone district, an offshoot of the populous hamlet Marina di Schiavoneain Corigliano-Rossano.

The facts were followed by the arrest of DVA to whom the precautionary measure of prison was applied, a measure which was also confirmed after the issuing of the conviction issued at the end of a detailed investigation.
