In a letter Angelo Onorato, the architect husband of the MEP Francesca Donato, found dead yesterday in the car with a band tied around his neck, wrote to the family that he was facing a difficult moment and that if something happened to him they would have to contact to the lawyer “who knows the whole situation”.
The lawyer, a tax expert, was heard yesterday by the police. The entrepreneur relied on the professional for the tax aspects of his company. The investigators would have listened to him to ascertain Onorato’s economic situation and any connections with his death due to debt or financial crisis.
In Onorato’s note there would also be general information on who could have damaged him.
Angelo Onorato’s wife and daughter continue to repeat that their relative did not commit suicide but was killed. But the images from the surveillance cameras support the theory of suicide.
Onorato’s SUV was parked in a blind spot between two surveillance cameras. From the image recordings it is clear that no vehicle stopped near the professional’s Range Rover because all the “filmed” cars passed in a time incompatible with a stop. Nor were any passers-by on foot filmed. The circumstances would support the theory of suicide, except for the hypothesis that the killer moved away by climbing the wall, at least two meters high, which borders the motorway to avoid being filmed.

No signs of violence on the body
No signs of violence were found on the body of Angelo Onorato. It emerges from the first medical-legal investigations on the body located in the Institute of Forensic Medicine of the Palermo Polyclinic.
The analyzes would therefore seem to lean towards the theory of suicide. The architect had his moccasins off his feet and a blood stain on his shirt consistent with the extreme gesture.
