European clay shooting championships, Bragalli and Picciolli from Pistoia stand out among the juniors

Matteo Bragalli wins gold in mixed skeet and takes fifth place individually. Viola Picciolli also did well, with room for improvement

At the European clay shooting championships in Lonato it wasn’t just Gabriele Rossetti to show off among the Pistoia athletes. Two boys from the junior category also brought home good results, again in the skeet specialty. In particular Matteo Bragalli won the gold medal in mixed skeet together with teammate Eleonora Ruta. The blue pair settled in the final Slovakia 1 by Martin Horvath and Miroslava Hockova for 41-38after having also achieved first place in the qualifiers by beating Slovakia in the shoot-off.

Bragalli also ranked at fifth place in the individual race, which saw for another the first and second place in blue shades, completing in the best possible way a European event which for him goes into the archives with a very positive vote. The Pistoia team was also present in Lonato Viola Picciolli, who took part in the individual competition. One for her qualifying phase closed with 100/125, which did not lead to the final but which still represents a good starting point in view of the next commitments.
