Vigevano, student guides in the civic museums

The numerous tourists who visited Vigevano on Saturday found the students of four high schools in the city welcoming them from 10 to 12. It was the conclusion of the “I’ll tell you about a museum” project, which started a year ago and was financed by the Lombardy Region. The students involved come from the Castoldi, Casale, Leonardo da Vinci and San Giuseppe institutes and have worked in the Lomellina national archaeological museum, the civic art gallery, the footwear museum and the Morabassa mill eco-museum. The students also created the first issue of “Vigevano 27029”, a publication of around twenty pages which will remain available to visitors to the various museums: inside there are cards on some of the works on display. Among the next aspects of the “I’ll tell you about a museum” project there is also the creation of a website where students will be able to discuss. Those who followed the archaeological museum found themselves, for a month, “managing” a particular exhibition located exceptionally in the Maschio of the castle and conceived with the collaboration of the architecture students of the Polytechnic of Milan.
