PERSONAL SERVICES, STOP ABUSE. CNA CAMPANIA NORD SUPPORTS THE AWARENESS CAMPAIGN – Casertasera.it

Campania. We have received and reported the following press release. CNA Campania Nord strongly supports the campaign against theillegal activity in the sectors ofhairstyle andaesthetics promoted by the national CNA and by Confartigianato with the patronage of the Ministry of Business and Made in Italy. “LThe awareness-raising action that we are implementing has the objective of protecting the many companies that operate in the personal services sector that find themselves facing unfair competition from those workers who wander around the houses illegally, without respecting safety standards and hygiene which damage the market and which, at the same time, do not protect thefinal user”. This was declared by the secretary and president of CNA Campania Nord Francesco Geremia and Vincenzo Santo who underline how the phenomenon is highly widespread in the provinces of Naples, Caserta and Benevento and how CNA has always worked to stem it. The data relating to the problem is very high. In our country, lillegal activity in the personal services sector (which includes hairdressing and beauty activities) is continuously growing with an irregularity rate of 27.6%. This is the highest value among the various sectors and far exceeds the national average rate, which stops at 14.4%. This phenomenon was aggravated by the consequences of the Covid-19 pandemic – which allowed theinclusion in the market of figures who, despite the closure provisions of hairdressing salons and beauty centres, have provided home services, thus taking away customers from regular operators. Adding to the picture is the recent proliferation of online platforms that operate undisturbed, offering home-based or even mobile services, without worrying about the limits imposed by sector regulations and municipal regulations. «Relying on competent and recognized professionals means choosing a quality service that respects the legal parameters and protects the health of customers – highlighted Geremia and Santo – we trust in the support of the institutions in our battles against the‘abusiveness. In fact, concrete results can be achieved if only trade associations, sector operators and citizens row on the same side.”
