First day of the Tuscan electoral tour in Siena for the secretary of the Democratic Party Elly Schlein, who met members and supporters in Piazza Indipendenza. “Giorgia Meloni confirms herself as the queen of austerity, the cuts that the Government is making to the municipalities are very serious: 250 million” she said, speaking to journalists on the sidelines of the electoral initiative. “Above all, the completely senseless choice to cut the most on those municipalities that are spending the most Pnrr resources is serious,” added Schlein, explaining that “with the Pnrr the walls of nursery schools can be built but with Giorgia Meloni’s cuts there will be no resources for educators”. “We are extremely worried and we join the mayors who are denouncing these dangerous cuts” added the secretary of the Democratic Party.
Which also had issues with Meloni on other topics: “Giorgia Meloni in Spain, among those nostalgic for Franco’s dictatorship and among Trump supporters, attacked the left by saying that it erases identity; So here’s my answer: in a year and a half of government it is canceling people’s freedoms.”
