Regalbuto it is a place full of history, rich in myths and traditions, where time seems to have stopped. Surrounded by an enchanted landscape, it is located in the heart of Sicily on a hill 525 meters above sea level. It was erected in Muslim era and the inhabitants were all Saracens, as explicitly indicated by the Count of Regalbuto in 1100.

The village it experienced both moments of great splendor and destruction. In fact, in 1261 it collapsed under the blows of the enemy, due to the fidelity sworn to Manfredi of Sicily. In 1262 it was rebuilt on the western slope of the mountain, where it is now located.

On the top the fortress stood in the town, and subsequently, on its ruins, the church of San Calogero, which currently no longer exists. This ruin characterizes the panorama of the place with its particular appearance of a half tower.
