The Molentargius Saline University Sports Center is born. The structure in via Perda Bona 22 in Quartu Sant’Elena will be the new point of reference for lovers of sport and in particular of Triathlon, with athletes and teams who will have a welcoming and professional place to prepare for national and regional competitions.
The ribbon cutting of the new structure saw the participation of the Mayor of Quartu Sant’Elena Graziano Mila, the president of the CUS Cagliari Marco Meloni, the national president of FITRI Riccardo Giubilei and the president of the Molentargius-Saline Regional Natural Park Stefano Secci. Together with them, the two vice presidents of the CUS, Manuela Caddeo and Stefano Demontis, and the president of CONI Sardinia, Bruno Perra.
The inauguration ceremony was also attended by technicians from the triathlon sector and other sectors of CUS Cagliari, the athletes and students who experience the sports center every day and train between the structure in via Perda Bona and the Molentargius-Saline Park.
The new sports center is the fourth structure of CUS Cagliari after the “Sa Duchessa” headquarters in via Is Mirrionis in Cagliari, the headquarters of the Nautical Polo in via dei Calafati in Cagliari and the University Sports Center in the University Citadel of Monserrato.
The identification of the sports center in the environmental oasis is a source of pride for the city and a further step in the offer of services dedicated to physical training and socialisation. A step forward that embellishes the territory and further strengthens the centrality of Quartu in the metropolitan context.
