The music course at the De Filis middle school in Terni it wins well two first prizes at Zangarelli. The national competition “Enrico Zangarelli” of Città di Castello it is a true musical institution in Umbria, both in terms of importance and longevity.

The De Filis school participated with the orchestra of the Musical Path with the classes 2B and 3B directed by Prof. Raffaella Palumbo, winning a first prize with a score of 95/100. The school also participated in the piano soloists category, achieving another good result with Gabriele Nicolardi (3B) who won a first prize with a score of 99/100.

The competition, arrived at its XXV edition, is designed in collaboration with the MIUR. It is organized by the “Alighieri-Pascoli” lower secondary school and by the Municipality of Città di Castello. The award is organized into various categories, ranging from soloist to chamber groups, choirs and orchestras. Musical middle schools and music high schools can participate, but also schools that have musical projects included in their PTOF. Given the importance of the prize, every year participants come from all over Italy.

The preparatory teachers of the group that established itself at “Enrico Zangarelli” are professors Palumbo, Todini, Karabuva, Caldarelli and Conti. The director of De Filis, Professor Maria Paola Morelliexpressed deep appreciation for the work of the boys.
