Climate change and wildlife, 7 million euros arriving for damaged businesses

Green light from the Regional Legislative Assembly to the Council’s bill for an allocation of more than that 7 million euros in support of interventions to give a breath of fresh air to agricultural businesses and aquaculture affected by damage caused by the effects of climate changes and from wildlife. Upon completion, support for cultivation always comes as part of the resource package potatoes, rice and sugar beet.

The aid for 2024 amounts to 4 million, divided between 700 thousand euros for the cultivation of potatowith the use of certified seed tuber, 500 thousand euros for the rice and 300 thousand for district contracts that concern local production systems, 270 thousand for the completion of interventions on the food markets agricultural products in municipal territories and finally 285 thousand euros for the control plan on wild boars and scavenging animals.

The regional measure allocates 1 million euros in 2024 with compensation to fishermen for the transport and disposal of the invasive blue crab species caught and not intended for marketing. Then there is 1 million for the sugar beetfor three years, for a total of 4 million euros, divided between 1 million in 2024 and 1.5 million for both 2025 and 2026. The aid to support potatoes, rice and sugar beet they will be paid by the Regional Agency for Agricultural Payments for Emilia Romagna.
