Through a dense program with the participation of pedagogists and educators, the three fundamental areas of emotional intelligence will be explored: Self-awareness, Empathy and Emotion Management.

“Today we find ourselves in a hyper-connected world which, paradoxically, has created enormous loneliness, particularly for the new generations who were born in this social context devoid of relationships. We are all focused on ourselves because we are used to a culture that focuses on the individual. The “We are puzzle” project was born from the desire to put the concept of “us” back at the center and replace it with the time of “I.” – says Paola Carotenuto – “With “We are puzzle” we wish to bring the importance and value of relationships and, at the same time, provide the tools to do so through a concrete and intensive experience. For this reason it is essential to develop life skills, life skills that allow us to face life’s challenges and build meaningful relationships. In particular, three skills are fundamental: self-awareness, empathy and emotion management. We recognize how precious relationships are in each of our lives and how important it is to pass this message on to new generations.”

Professor Giusi Antonia Toto, full professor of Special Pedagogy at Unifg and rectoral delegate for Orientation, Teacher Training and Continuing Education, will hold, together with her team from the Learning Sciences Institute, a laboratory on managing emotions on the web . “The life skills they represent those social, cognitive and personal skills that allow us to effectively face the obstacles and trials that everyday life holds for us. Since 1993, the Department of Mental Health ofWorld Health Organization (WHO) recognized these psychosocial skills as beneficial for promoting health education at school and in the private sector. School is, today more than ever, the right environment for teaching life skills because it favors the activation of socialization processes. Children and adolescents are trained to think critically, they learn to collaborate with others, to create and maintain important relationships, to set goals.” These are the words of Professor Toto.

The magnificent Rector of the University of Foggia, Professor Lorenzo Lo Muzio, declared instead: “this bootcamp is a significant opportunity for our University to collaborate with an ancient and prestigious university like that of Bologna to sponsor an experience innovative teaching. Our hope is that opportunities like this can be repeated in the immediate future, to compare ourselves with other academic realities, both national and otherwise”.

This bootcamp offers a comprehensive review of the key skills ofemotional intelligence, essential for successfully navigating today’s interpersonal relationships. Nationally known expert speakers will lead workshops, discussions, hands-on activities, interactive workshops and experiential learning sessionsoffering valuable tools for personal and professional development.

Furthermore, a Creative Challengewhich will offer the opportunity to put what you have learned into practice, creating projects that reflect the importance of life skills in the lives of young people.
