TikToker Fabio Di Monte arrested in Monza: he fakes an attack, calls the police saying “I take justice into my own hands” and then insults the officers

A fake attack, an excited phone call to the police with the threat of taking the law into his own hands, and in the end insults to the officers and resistance by kicking the steering wheel. Fabio Di Monte, a 46-year-old from Monza, defines himself as a Tiktoker: he makes videos with parodies of songs and vague denunciations of urban decay, he has 25 thousand followers, few compared to his long criminal CV, with precedents for drug dealing, robbery, illegal possession of weapons, failure to provide assistance following a road accident, fraud, injuries, computer fraud, theft, threats, persecutory acts. Precedents to which we now add the arrest for resisting a public official.

It all started last Saturday when a request for intervention from a man who reported having been attacked with a bottle by a dozen drug dealers inside a bar in Monza reached the Operations Center of the Monza and Brianza Police Headquarters. In the phone call he also said that if the officers had not arrived on site, he would have returned to the bar armed with a gun. When the patrol arrived he began to change his story, saying that the attack had happened several days earlier. Then he started screaming, scaring the customers.

One of the bar’s employees explained that the TikToker used to go into the place drunk and harass customers. He was reported for causing alarm but since he continued to offend the officers, he was taken to the police station. Throughout the journey the man kicked the glass of the car and the internal partition, insulting the officers. Nothing was found at his house, but he was arrested for resisting a public official. The arrest was confirmed immediately – releasing Di Monte – and the hearing for the summary judgment was set.
