Is beauty an objective or subjective concept? It is certainly a health-related issue. For those intrigued by the topic, in the volume entitled “The subtle balance of beauty” Dr. Laura Mazzotti, specialist in aesthetic medicine, will talk about it on Friday 24 May at Factory Grisù in Ferrara.
The voice of a cosmetic surgery professional to explain how aesthetic medicine also and above all deals with health. After the Festival of Words and before the inauguration of the summer programme, the Grisù hosts a reflection on the body and the necessary harmony of balance.
“I wrote this book – Laura Mazzotta anticipates – because I perceived the need to break down the concept of imperfection: we need to promote, in people, the awareness that our body must be understood and observed with attention and respect; and on the part of those who practice my profession, this must be pursued with ethics and humility without indulging in requests from patients who seek excess or transformation”.
In the volume, Dr. Mazzotta recounted the birth and evolution of the profession of cosmetic surgeon, the implications in media communication and in society and how the patients’ approach towards this discipline has changed, moving from fear to shame, to the now knowledge of many of its aspects almost to the point of shamelessness.
At the meeting, Laura Mazzotta will talk with Paolo Panzacchi.
