Health, the Puglia Region approves more anti-Papilloma virus vaccines

The law providing for the increase in anti-human papillomavirus vaccination coverage and the prevention of bronchiolitis was unanimously approved by the Puglia Regional Council. The first signatory of the proposals is the regional councilor of Action and president of the Budget Commission, Fabiano Amati. The objective is to strengthen the information network in such a way as to reduce the number of unvaccinated people.

“The objective is to reduce the unvaccinated to the sole percentage of children and families who choose to refuse in full awareness – explained the Puglia Region – but also to make the duty of information on the part of health and school authorities widespread on the usefulness of the vaccination against human papilloma virus, so as to eradicate infections and prevent the related cancerous consequences, enrollment in the educational courses foreseen in the 11-25 age group, including university, is subject to the presentation of documentation, already in possession of the interested parties, capable of certifying the completion of the anti-HPV vaccination, or a certificate issued by the vaccination centers of the relevant local health authorities, certifying the administration, the start of the administration program or the refusal to administer the vaccine”. As regards the prevention of RSV diseases, i.e. the respiratory syncytial virus, better known as bronchiolitis, the administration of human monoclonal antibodies approved by the authorities has been authorized. The dosages, frequency and methods of administration will be those established by the documents approved by the regulatory authorities and by the recently updated guidelines.
