Confcommercio Ragusa, Gianluca Manenti reconfirmed president

RAGUSA – Gianluca Manenti he was unanimously reconfirmed at the helm of Provincial Confcommercio Ragusa for the next five years. The election took place yesterday morning at the association’s headquarters in via Roma, in the capital. Together with him also the members of the provincial council. These are the vice-presidents Salvatore Guastella, Rosamaria Chiaramonte and Giorgio Moncada. The administrator is Salvatore Barrera. The members of the new provincial council are: Gregorio Lenzo, Carlotta Schininà, Alessandro Palladino, Pierpaolo Carpenzano, Valentina Carpanzano, Daniele Russino and Orazio Nannaro.

The provincial president of Confcommercio Catania, Piero Agen, was also present at the works and, as representative of the regional council of Confcommercio Sicilycongratulated Manenti who, among other things, is also regional president of the trade association.


“We must start again with the courage and determination that distinguishes us and which has always given us the strength to overcome the uncertainties, emergencies and challenges that arise before us – said Manenti – I thank all my friends and colleagues for their trust which was placed in my figure. And we are ready to give more and more for the growth of the organization and above all for the support for members cwho are facing a difficult time. We have big bets to bet on, starting with Zes not to mention the commercial districts.”

“And then we want to focus on one path in particular, that of ensure a point of reference of our council to every municipal administration in the province so as to develop profitable paths for development. We have done our part and we will continue to do so with great determination and courage, while also asking politics to do their part. We need a new and targeted approach,” she added.

Manenti spoke about infrastructure, energy efficiency, urban regeneration, integrated city plans, ecological transition, hydrogeological instability, unemployment, school and training, seasonal continuity.

“In the era ofe-commerce and large-scale retail trade – he further explained – the role of the institutions must be that of promote and support the local economy, both because it is a source of income for numerous families and because it is an expression of the vitality of a country. We believe that municipal administrations must establish a continuous relationship with local sector entities to direct customers towards small commercial businesses and to promote initiatives that increase attendance”.

The programmatic document which will constitute the point of reference on which the new Confcommercio provincial council will move will soon be drawn up in detail.
