Redevelopment and restyling works at the ‘La Passeggiata’ public gardens in Terni: it’s time for the new paving of the road ring inside the park. To allow the works to take place, a management ordinance was signed which orders the closure of the park to the public from 23 May to 7 June «except for the staff of the executing company and the control bodies – we read in the document -, in order to guarantee the works and logistical security measures.”
‘Promenade’ closed for works As regards the work underway in the park, as known in the context of the urban regeneration interventions financed by the Pnrr, “the phases of work which affected the space in front of the building of the former church of the Madonna del Carmine are almost completed”, yes reads in the document. Now it is the turn of the paving on the internal road ring of the gardens. «The works to be carried out involve the removal of the current flooring and the execution of a new layer of colored bituminous conglomerate, through the use of large vehicles and machinery with the need for continuous movements both inside the park and at the entrance and exit from the park.” Taking into account that «the users of the park are made up almost exclusively of pedestrians, cyclists and, above all, children who use the spaces dedicated to them, equipped for play» and that «the municipal administration has the task of exercising control for guarantee the safety and security of citizens who frequent public parks” it was necessary to close the park.
