The South can make a difference and the top local and regional representatives are convinced of this Brothers of Italy who, in the late afternoon today at the Torrione hotel, presented the three Calabrian candidates for the next European elections on 8 and 9 June. Denis Nesci (outgoing MEP), the regional manager Ersilia Matruda and the regional councilor Luciana De Francesco they will represent Calabria on the FdI list. Objectives, programs and projects to be implemented are the main topics addressed by the candidates “enthusiastic and ready for this new challenge“.
The event, organized by the Reggio Calabria Coordination of FdI, was attended by the presidents of the city of Reggio Calabria and the province Ersilia Cedro and Bruno Squillaci, the group leader in the municipal council Demetrio Marino, the president of the FdI group in the regional council Giuseppe Neri , the Undersecretary of State at the Ministry of the Interior Wanda Ferro.
Neri’s words
“Three excellent candidates, we have put our best forces on the field and, today, we present them to the citizens by accelerating the electoral campaign. We will meet and discuss with the whole territory to spread the political project of Fratelli d’Italia and reiterate what we want to do in Europe – says Neri -. Among the next objectives, we want to materialize the previous electoral result and put the political action carried out by Prime Minister Giorgia Meloni to the ground. Our party is the first in Italy, we will also demonstrate it in these European elections especially in Reggio and Calabria where we will reiterate that our political offer has been received by the citizens. And we will do it with the votes that FdI will take, votes that will be important for sending a large team to Europe”.

The regional coordinator Ferro is on the same wavelength and talks about “a different vision of Europe through the many elected candidates who will make a difference not only in the conservatives but in a country that must self-regulate on many rules that concern the nation. Obviously, our presence will be constant and widespread on important European issues such as immigration, defence, security and much more”.
