Ragusa, the Mariele Ventre choir will sing for Pope Francis

The Mariele Ventre choir from Ragusa, from the Antonian Galaxy will also be part of the choir of almost 1000 children who will animate the first “World Children’s Day” next May 25th and 26th in Rome. “Behold, I make all things new ”, desired by Pope Francis and organized by the Dicastery for Culture and Education and by the coordinator of the GMB, Father Enzo Fortunato.

A major event is scheduled for May 25th at the Olympic Stadium, which will be broadcast on Rai1 starting at 3.30 pm, in the presence of Pope Francis and many guests: the Piccolo Coro dell’Antoniano directed by Sabrina Simoni, Carlo Conti, Renato Zero, Albano, Lino Banfi, Orietta Berti, Carolina Benvenga, Ninna and Matti, as well as thousands of girls and boys from over 100 countries. It will be an opportunity to sing together and also to play, which is why a delegation of footballers will also be present: Gigi Buffon, Alex Del Piero, Cafù, Roberto Carlos and many others. Among the songs, also the hymn written for the occasion by Msgr. Marco Frisina, “Sono Noi”, which tells how children are the hope for a better future, the true ‘novelty of the world’.

On May 26th, however, from 10am everyone will be in St. Peter’s Square for the Eucharistic celebration and the Angelus of the Holy Father who on this occasion will greet girls and boys from all over the world. Special guest Roberto Benigni.
