The deadline for submitting your candidacy for deputy foreign municipal councilor representing non-EU citizens residing in Mazara del Vallo expires tomorrow at noon. The elections will be held on Sunday 16 June from 7 am to 10 pm. To be elected (passive electorate) you must be over 18 years of age on the date of the electoral consultation; be resident in Mazara del Vallo for at least 4 consecutive years; not have had any criminal convictions either in Italy or abroad; be in possession of a regular residence permit or residence card; sufficient knowledge of the Italian language.

Those entitled to vote (active electorate) are foreign citizens, not belonging to the European Community and not Italian citizens, who have reached the age of majority on the date of the election, who have had uninterrupted registered residence in Mazara del Vallo for at least two years and who have not had any criminal convictions. The individual requests for candidatures must be accompanied by at least 75 signatures of authenticated subscribers on the forms prepared by the municipal Electoral Service, and presented without fail from 17 May until 12 noon on 22 May.
