Sanremo. «Dog area in San Martino, the Sanremo water park, shame». It thunders like this City Councilor Isaia Stefano candidate for the League to the next administrative elections in Sanremo. During his mandate in the Lega group, the Councilor informed and urged the administration several times on this critical issue.
Without mincing words he declares: «During the administration which was now coming to an end I reported and documented the administration of this state of abandonment which was no longer tolerable. The entire area is abandoned to itself and seems like a no-man’s land. I myself, together with technicians from the Municipality and workers, carried out two inspections to find a solution and prepare a mini intervention to be included in a tender for companies in the area. Specifically, I received collaboration from qualified electrical installers who supported me during my relationship and proposed an immediate and low-cost solution, professionals in the area who unfortunately wasted their time and free of charge developed the intervention to create additional LED light points also with a view to energy saving. In fact, today we find ourselves with a painful, insufficient and lacking lighting which makes the area an excellent meeting place at night for thugs and facilitates the abandonment of rubbish by uncivilized people.».
The press note continues: «The problem of continuous flooding which creates eternal huge puddles which, in addition to making access to the park difficult for users of the dog area with their 4-legged friends, also makes the passage a mess for all those who wish to take a walk and stop on the benches. Despite this, nothing has been done and referring to the outgoing administration I ask: an intervention that requires the Municipality with few financial resources and at the same time provides an enormous service to the community and citizens of the area and not only being close to the busy cycle path , does it create so many problems that it cannot be resolved?” We seem to be the municipality of complicating simple things.
