Gianni Pezzotti, historic reporter for the Giornale di Brescia, has died

AND Gianni Pezzotti died during the night, historic reporter for the Giornale di Brescia, at 76 years old. First an editor at Bresciaoggi, Pezzotti moved to Editoriale Bresciana in 1980, where he dealt with crime, politics and finally the province until 2008.

After his master’s degrees at Gambara, he began the Faculty of Letters at the Cattolica, in parallel with the military draft. Then he interrupted his studies to become a journalist: from that moment he dedicated himself to crime reporting with rigorous precision and great humanity. Socialist of political education, Catholic, in 1980 he moved to the Giornale di Brescia where he remained until 2008. Pezzotti was, first with the black terrorism then with that red, a first-rate track racer. For work he followed i great made of black of the terrible season of kidnappings and, among other cases, the atrocious crime of Torchiera di Pontevico. Once the years of crime reporting were over, he then moved to the provincial editorial team. At the Giornale di Brescia he was also a member of the newspaper’s editorial committee (the internal union of journalists, ed).

He was married to Giuliana and had two twin daughters, Anna Maria and Ilaria. He had become a grandfather to five grandchildren.

To all his loved ones goes the embrace of the colleagues of the editorial staff and of the large GdB family.
