The Marche regional council has approved the hunting calendar scheme for the 2024/2025 season.

For it to come into force we still need to wait a couple of steps (opinion of the competent council commission, final resolution of the council), but already from the first diagram you can have a clear idea of the Marche hunting calendar for the 2024/2025 season.

Upon proposal of councilor Andrea Antoninithe Acquaroli council has in fact hypothesized to allow one pre-opening day for quail and five (one Saturday, two Sundays, two Wednesdays) for teal, wood pigeon, mallard and garganey.

It is also noticeable that hunting is expected to close for most species, including the woodcock, on January 30th (the 31st is Friday, a day of hunting silence at least until parliament will not decide otherwise).

Two side notes: in wildlife hunting companies, instead of the 1st as in ATC, hare and pheasant hunting will close on 8 and 29 December respectively; and the rock partridge will only be huntable in the Macerata 2 ATC, on the basis of the specific management plan.

Arcicaccia has already spoken out against the hunting calendar, who says she was called to discuss it after the approval of the resolution. Her suspicion is that other hunting associations were unofficially consulted before the official meeting of the control room.
