Mourning for the ERSAF University Research and Studies Center of Cerignola, due to the death of the engineer in a road accident. Ambrogio Giordano, on Saturday 19 May while he was intent on reaching his workplace in Trani: the crash occurred on state road 16 near San Ferdinando di Puglia, rescue efforts were useless and they could only confirm his death . The National Coordinator of the ERSAF Poles, Dr. Michele Monaco, remembers the figure of Ambrogio Giordano as an illustrious citizen of Cerignola, initially engaged as an entrepreneur in our city. His entrepreneurial activities are famous: we remember the oil mill, the jewelery shop, the furniture sales and IT marketing company; subsequently he made space outside the city walls for his expertise in the field of environmental engineering, carried out both as a professional activity and as an employee of the subsidiary company of the municipality of Foggia AMICA and subsequently as Sole Director of AMIU SpA (Company of environmental management of the Municipality of Trani).
We will remember him as a fair person, a hard worker who always put the common good, rectitude and work ethic before personalistic logic. Ambrogio Giordano was and will be an example for all of us. In love with studies, in his life he has accumulated academic qualifications ranging from Sociology, Criminology and of course Civil and Environmental Engineering, his latest master’s degree in 2013 in Territorial, Urban and Environmental Planning. Undoubtedly we have been left orphans of a man of great culture, with countless organizational and technical skills, skills acquired and widely demonstrated in the field in his activities and professional life. It is a duty for our center to remember a great collaborator as well as a person who was always available and correct: we can only join in the condolences that have struck the Giordano family and be close to his wife Rossella, his children and his brother Gianluigi; we have lost a dear person, but we will not lose his smile, his goodness and above all his example of life which will remain in everlasting memory as is due to great men. The funeral will be held tomorrow, Wednesday 22 May at 4pm, at the Cerignola Cathedral.
