Sicily confirms itself as a film set also at an international level. Casting open in Palermo for director Gustavo Loza’s feature film: how to participate

Sicily confirms itself as a film set, even at an international level. Foreign directors also choose it and decide to set some scenes of their films among the beauties of the island.

Just as happens in the case of the Mexican director and artist Gustavo Lozawho chose Cefalù to shoot part of his latest work “Resilienza”, a feature film, produced by Alebrije Cine y Video, mainly set in Mexico but with some “stops” in Italy, between the town in the province of Palermo and Siena in Tuscany.

The plot focuses on the story of the protagonist, Mateo, who escapes from Mexico where he is accused of sexually abusing the daughter of a powerful man. So he stops in Cefalù, where he finds the protection (or presumed protection) of a mafia boss, Jacopo.

In view of filming in Sicily, casting has opened for the role of Jacopo.

The work will be paid and will take place in Cefalù (filming set) between 2 and 8 June.

Among the requirements, we are looking for a man, exclusively resident in Palermo, aged between 65 and 70 years.

The role involves lines in Italian with Sicilian cadence and intercalations.

Interested parties who meet the requirements described above must send their application to the email address guarneri.rossella83@gmail.com, attaching your CV, 2 photos (close-up and full-length) and presentation self-tape. The showreel is welcome.

You have until May 25th to apply.

Those selected will be contacted directly via email by the production for an audition.
